MedX medical machines have been available to the public since 1988. The initial cost and investment is daunting for one machine, let alone four. But, there's great value in each one. The Cervical Extension and Cervical Rotation was purchased for people with neck problems; Lumbar Extension and Torso Rotation for back problems.

Marks PT has the only facility in Kansas that features the MedX Medical machines. It's the only clinic in the four state area (KS, NE, MO, and IA) that uses all four. So why such a big investment? The following is the list of reasons ‘why’:

1. Normal values were determined by clinical research that took 35,000 normal individuals without symptoms to find what the average is for males and females. In other words, we know where you are supposed to be.
2. The MedX applies to a number of different diagnoses (but are not limited to) Chronic Neck/Back pain, Degenerative Disc or Joint disease, Osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia, Pre- and Post- Spine surgery, non-acute Herniated discs, TMJ, Whiplash, Spondylolisthesis, Fractures, Bulging discs, Fusion, Radiculopathy, Lumbago, Cervalgia, and Mechanical Dysfunction of the Spine.
3. Gives concise information regarding your strength levels.
   Isolates the component motions of extension and rotation for the neck and trunk.
4. Uses a graduated weight stack for gradual increases of resistance.
5. The Range of Motion can be limited, monitored and gradually increased within your tolerance and as per protocol standards.
6. Reassessment occurs every 8th treatment.
7. Success or improvement 79% of the time.
